Destination Wedding Invitations

How do you select destination wedding invitations? These invitations need to be carefully thought about. One of the most important things to do is to determine where the location will be and who will be invited. From there, it is best to speak with your guests to be sure they are interested in traveling to the location. The invites you send out should only be a formality for most situations. Of course, after the most important people agree to travel to the destination, you can offer anyone else to come who will be paying their own way to come. Still, ther are a few more things to think about when selecting these invitations.

Where Are You Going?

Even though weddings at various locations around the world are becoming more popular than ever, it goes without saying that you will need to be sure your wedding invitation clearly explains to the guests what they can expect. Here are a few things to point out:

  • Are you paying for them to come? If not, be sure to let them know that. You do not want people to assume you are paying airfare or hotel bookings at the location.
  • Have you made arrangements for them? In either case, it is appropriate to put a hold on a certain number of rooms at the destination for the use of your guests. If you plan to do this, include that information on the invitation.
  • Where exactly are you going? Be sure to clearly label this information so that there is no question about it.

Choosing The Right Invite

The next step in the process is to select the right invitation. To accomplish this, you may want to choose a destination wedding invitation that is designed to look like the place you are visiting. For example, choose a Hawaiian theme if you are heading down to the islands.

As you can tell, there is a lot that goes into the process of selecting a destination invitation. The good news is that there are some great options on the market that can really make your decisions easier to make.
